- Made from die-cast aluminium and covered by a limited lifetime warranty, the durable cook box of the Broil King 834254 provides excellent heat retention and long-lasting durability. The cook box is designed to ensure even heat and heat retention for precise cooking control.
- Three(3) patented Dual-Tube burners are made from high-quality, heavy-duty stainless steel. These large diameter, tube-in-tube side ported burners provide even heat distribution with two rows of flame per burner.
- Heavy-duty cast iron cooking grids that are reversible - one side is pointed to give you perfect grill marks, while the other side is grooved to capture juices for continuous basting while cooking.
- The Flav-R-Wave cooking system provides superior heat distribution across the grill and protects the burners. Drippings that fall onto the Flav-R-Wave are instantly vaporized, the vapor is then infused back into the food for that unmistakable barbecue flavor.

I reduced the heat up time by inserting cut to fit pieces of tin to reduce the size of rotisserie holes. On a windy day the barbecue was taking along time to heat up.

I got my grill a couple of months ago and I have cooked a number of foods on it and the results have been spectacular. The range of temperature controls have given me the ability to make great steaks, awesome burgers and juicy chicken as well as side dishes and desserts. The cookbook that came with the grill has got some great hints and pointers as well as good recipes. All in all I am quite pleased with the performance of this grill.

I just recently bought this bbq and absolutely love it. I bbq at least 3-4 times a week including in the winter time so for a compact bbq with a smaller cooking surface, it heats up fast and stays hot and cooks food super fast. It fits nicely on the patio of my townhouse. The only complaint I have would be that the handle does get somewhat hot as well.....you can still touch the handle though.

We down sized from a 6 burner that we had when our Daughter and her 5 boy's and husband where still in Nova Scotia(Moved to NewFoundland) And didn't need a large BBQ. SO after some research and looking ,decided to go with BroilKing. Best BBQ we ever had. Only one little problem. The plastic lock for the one side shelf broke the first time I used it. Other than that an excellent product.

I bought my Broil King Monarch in March and it is undoubtedly the best purchase I made in a long, long time. I come from a culture where bbq'ing is almost a national pastime and since having the Broil King our family bbq at least twice a week.
I did quite a bit of research before buying, looking at BBQ's both online and in different shops, also looking at Onward Manufacturing's cheaper BBQ's and comparing a whole lot of cheaper and more expensive competitors.
The Monarch 340 is sturdy and well built. The box is of a good quality, the grid heavy and well made. Heat is distributed evenly and it holds the heat for a long time after turning it down. My steaks get the required ?bbq stripes? if I want them to have it, but I am also able to gently grill sausages and chicken.
The top rack is perfect to let the meat ?rest? before eating , but it can be hot enough there to use as ?overflow' if you have a big meal to prepare.
The side burner is an absolute must and works like a dream for grilling/stir frying veggies, keeping food warm or even boiling water for coffee.
I also bought the cover which I think should be part of the package when buying a BBQ. A bit more expensive than other covers available, but definitely worth the money.
I am so impressed with my BBQ that I recently bought a Broil King rotisserie. Wow! It is a perfect companion to the Monarch; silent but powerful motor which can turn and roast a heavy boneless leg of lamb to perfection.
I have noticed that Broil King sells a whole lot of accessories to their BBQ's and will be perfectly happy if one of them is under the Christmas tree every year instead of the customary tie and aftershave! In a nutshell: I am a Broil King convert!

Got this BBQ early September, great delivery service, nice packaging , fairly easy assembly.
We did a few Steaks that turned out excellent. Also did some burgers that worked well also.
Heats well, Cast grates work well, nice grill marks on steaks..
I did not use BBQ an extreme amount as winter is near, but it will get more use in spring.

This is my 5th Broil King in the last 25 years.
Even when I did not cover it through Winters, they would not quit. Now that I do, I look forward to several years of great, even no flare up cooking. Simply put, there is no burner system quite like BK.
I previously owned the Signed models, and even though the cooking surface is smaller, still plenty of room to cook multiple meals at a time. What impresses me most is the even heating and the results of cooking chicken from raw on low heat, with no flare ups.
