This grill is excellent, easy to use, and great size for a larger family. This is my first pellet grill I was nervous that I would mess something up, but was easy to setup and use. I purchased the sidekick after getting the grill it is unbelievably easy to use and and great addition to the grill. I grilled my very first brisket ever. It turned out excellent my teenage boys nearly ate the entire brisket. Cooking the brisket was so easy. Having the WiFi to check the temp and setting the desired temp with a notification to my phone throughout the day was great as I could focus on other things during the day. Highly recommend to the newbies and the experienced grillers out there!

I've been struggling to cook great barbecue pork ribs for 30 years. My wife recently gifted me with the WiFi 36? with Sear Box. Yesterday was my first attempt at BBQ pork ribs, for her birthday. I followed the 3-2-1 process. From the moment I started the pit by pressing the power switch and rotating the knob to ?Heavy Smoke? (~220f) it just was so easy that I honestly felt like I was cheating at cooking! The ribs turned out to be perfectly tender, delicious, and beautiful! Thanks, CampChef.

Just received my new Woodwind WiFi 36 with Sear Box. I prepped myself by watching unboxing videos to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I'm so glad I did as there are a few sections where you really need to read the instructions several times to make sure you understand them. The hardest part was the small cover plate for where the ambient probe is located. A few curse words were uttered during that step. A few more curses where spoken loudly during Sear Box install. The instruction manual for the Sear Box assembly were lacking. Comparing the Woodwind 36 instructions to the Sear Box instructions is like comparing the Mona Lisa to a toddler's finger painting. One nut was missing so I'm going to see how Support is but the missing nut didn't stop me from setting up the new pellet grill.

I sold my old Treager to get this. So far so very good. SUPER happy about the clean out feature. The smoke adjustment feature is awesome. I did have to add a a WiFi repeater to the garage, but really no big deal. Took the factory griddle seasoning off and re-seasoned using Cowboy Kent Rollins method. Awaiting on the pizza box now. I do have but two issues, it only goes down to 160. I woild like to have a smoke only feature for cold smoking. My second issue, is that max temp is 500 degrees. All in all though, so far I am very happy.

"I bought the Woodwind 36" with sear box 2 weeks ago. Our family loves to cook and i can say I just hit 60 hours. We have enjoyed every minute of using this product and absolutely love it. We have done ribs, pork shoulder, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, and pork belly. Everything came out great and I even got a nap. We had some inital issues with the wifi functionality, but that seems to have been resolved with the latest update. I will also be reaching out to Campchef to purchase another drip pan as after smoking meat for 20 hours, i need another one while i clean and wash the other. I have truly enjoyed this product."

"Great versatility. Smoking puts out good flavor, perfect smoke rings, and amazing food.?Great searing capabilities on the sear box as well as cranking the temp and opening the fire box cover. My wife and I love everything that comes out of this. Smoked meats, steaks, corn, potatoes, and every other meat and veggie we have thrown in. My only word of caution I would put this as an enthusiast machine... Be ready for longer cooks (slow temps, flip to high multigrill function), more cleaning (pellets require some maintenance), and more to learn. That said, the set it and forget is ease of smoke with pellets cannot be matched by anything I have ever used so you might be able to call it a lazy man grill too... If you are seriously trying to up your cookling game, I cannot recommend more.?Since buying I gave away my propane grill and my electric smoker and haven't touched the charcoal. LOVE IT"

I purchased about a month ago. It came in Wednesday last week minus the sidekick, was on backorder. Assembled in an hour with minimal help holding certain items. First run was on Friday smoked chicken wings. Second run was brisket Saturday. Third was ribs Sunday, and whole chicken Monday. Everything came out perfect. Used only a little over a bag of pellets 25 hours of use. I have used other smokers of all types including pellet, and this is the best by far. I can't wait until the sidekick comes for the whole experience. The added WiFi feature is awsome. I was able to visit neighbors wile still keeping track of temperatures and smoke settings. Once WiFi is out of range, cellular data kicks in from anywhere. This machine is truly a set it and forget it grill. Completely satisfied!

Our fire department got this smoker a week ago as a solution to us turning our grill and oven on and off when we respond to an emergency call. With this smoker, we were able to start at the beginning of the shift, put on 4 racks of tibs , a leg of lamb and 10 links of sausage, and have them cook perfectly for lunch , while still responding to calls in our community. There is no way we could have done this without this smoker in the time it required. Its a lifesaver for people who don't have time to sit and babysit food . Not only just food but quality food, it came out fantastic and was able to feed 8 people fully with leftovers. I can't say enough about the woodwind. Buy one and you ll agree.

I owned a previous older model Camp Chef pellet grill and was always satisfied with it, but I always needed more room. When the new WiFi models came out I decided it was time to upgrade to the larger 36 inch model. This has been the best decision I've ever made. I love everything about this grill. The extra space is more than I could have ever imagined, especially with the two top racks. The new PID controller is a complete game changer. The new smoke level adjustment adds a smoke flavor profile that's I've never experienced on a pellet grill. The app that connects to the new controller is easy to use and allows you to monitor the grill itself and what you are cooking with the included probes. The new hopper is sleek and really improves the movement of pellets to the auger. Camp Chef really knocked it out do the park on this one!

They should know that this product will change the way they grill!! I love the features of this grill!! The slide grill feature is great for searing. The sidekick is a great option for grilling burgers, making pizza, or just to add a little more grill space! The Ash drop is very convenient. You don't have to take the whole grill apart to get the ash out of the fire pot! This grill heats up pretty quickly and maintains temp very well. The Wi-Fi feature is by far one of my favorite features on this grill! It is nice to be able to be anywhere and check the temp of the meat and grill. Overall this is a great grill. I love it and so will you!!

Camp Chef sent me the new Woodwind 36 to try put and review (I've also got the optional SideKick attachment). I've had it for several weeks and so far, this smoker with the new WiFi controller can do it all! I've slow smoked ribs and pork shoulders (at a smoke setting 7) a holiday crown roast (smoke setting 10) and baked cookies and pies (smoke setting 1). All have turned out perfectly! The larger size gives me all space I need to cook family dinners and host everybody. The sliding upper racks are a game changer for maximizing capacity inside the smoker itself. I love the little details that make using this smoker easy, like the pellet clean out and the ash dump and the pellet window on the hopper. OH, and the hopper! Holds so many pellets and is shaped properly to prevent the pellets from funneling and causing flame outs. Will be using this smoker for years to come.

I got the woodwind 36 a few months ago. I'm in Texas and have been smoking all manner of meats for a long time...webers, offset smokers, and even gas grills (when I used to live in an apartment, please don't tell them!) - this thing has completely blown away my expectations. My Brother-in-Law and Father-in-Law both have Traegers, and there are so many upgrades in the Camp Chef vs. the Traeger that when it comes time to replace their smoker they'll definitely be making the switch. The meat probes are super helpful, the ash clean out is much better designed, and the ability to direct heat sear solves the problem of "how do I get a good crust on this steak".

My brother and father (not the in-laws) have both picked up Woodwinds now (the 24) and love them. I'd say go bigger if you can though...no one ever regrets having more space on a smoker and the extra cost spread out over the many years of using it is well worth the cost.

I have now had this grill for awhile and I love it, it is the only grill I use anymore. I have even packed this huge grill in the back of my truck and took it to my friends house to BBQ on. The cooking space is big enough to do enough food for all our parties and then some. Our go to is bacon wrapped peppers, hot wings with a pot of Dutch oven potato's on the sidekick. This is the best purchase I have made in awhile.

I recently upgraded to this grill because I was looking for more cooking space and the option of WiFi. This thing can do it all!!! I love that I can smoke all the meat for the adults, and for the kiddos who want just a simple hot dog or hamburger I can throw that on the Sidekick. It is so convenient to be able to control the smoke level and temperature from the app on my phone. I have done ribs and pulled pork, both of which my family says is better than any they have tasted before, and I am looking forward to Thanksgiving with this grill to be able to cook most everything on it! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality built, good looking grill that will last for years to come.

I wanted the convenience of gas grills, but more flavor. This grill fits the bill perfectly. Everything I have tried on the Woodwind has been better than when I cooked on my gas grill, and smoking on this is so easy. I should have made the switch sooner. I did go back and order the Sidekick Sear to get the sear marks on beef and pork chops, plus it is easier to grill hot dogs.

I can't say enough good things about how well thought out the assembly is of this pellet grill. I did tons of research and landed on purchasing a camp chef. I have loads of other camp chef products and knew I'd be buying a quality product!
Having all the bolts and pieces labeled and separated, pieces appropriately drilled and lined up made assembly a dream. Wife got this for me as a birthday gift. Took a minute to set up but it has the ability to cook with pellets as well as gas on the side, which I love. Beautiful addition to our patio but wheels are sturdy enough to load onto the back of the truck for tailgaiting or car camping with the family. The app is also pretty slick but gives me no excuse if I overcook meat!

Awesome size and smoke abilities. As long as the pit is clean, it holds temps to within 8 degrees. Fabulous results off of this smoker! I do think that the app can be improved with a timer and sounds though.

So I was going between a custom built stick burner and a pellet smoker. Buddy of mine is hardcore Trager fan and almost got me to buy one but then I found reviews of this unit on YouTube and I am so happy I did. I have had my unit for a year now, many cooks on it and have absolutely no complaints. The unit had a small ding in it from the factory but Camp Chef customer service was on point and took care of the issue for me and I was very pleased with how they handled it so props to them as well. And the price compared to a $3000 custom stick burner I was going to get was such a great value!

I absolutely love the build quality, and the outcome of my low and slow cooks. The wifi system is on point and having the ability to check everything from my phone has its advantages for sure, although I am usually around to watch things but if I need to run to the store while my wife keeps an eye on it then I can monitor temps from my phone while I run my errands. Being able to smoke then reverse sear my steaks on the same system and the versatile is second to non. I have all the attachments for the side kick and have used everything except the pizza oven, but will soon. All works as it should.

I have had my smoker for a lil over a year. CampChef has been great with getting back to me and troubleshooting the issues at hand. My PID controller went out and they gave me a list of wires and reasons it would stop working. After troubleshooting the options they gave the controller would still not turn on. They warrantied the controller and I have a new one on the way. Would highly recommend this smoker and CampChef as a company.

I have had my 36" Woodwind for a couple of months now and I am impressed!!!!! I have cooked so many things on it now. I love the flat griddle on the sidekick. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pizza oven. The app control works great. Being able to move the fire box to get the grill hotter is nice. The ash dump works great. This grill has every feature you could ask for in a pellet smoker. We have used it for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you are on the fence about this grill, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed!!!!! Best grill I have ever purchased.

Assembly was easy and straightforward. I did the burn in and then proceeded to make the best ribs I have tasted, smoky, juicy and fall off the bone tender. I then smoked salmon, pork butts and this past weekend made the best brisket I have ever turned out it was 18lbs and man was it good. The grill functions great and keeps the temp pretty well. I love the multiple probes and having all that room with the upper racks to cook for a large gathering. Clean up is not bad I pull the racks then the diffuser plate vacuum any dust in the grill , clean the racks then I am ready for the next cook. If you are on the fence about getting this grill do yourself a favor and buy it you will not be disappointed

Had this grill for about a month and I'm extremely impressed with the easy of use of this grill. I used to use a offset grill but bought this so that I could actually bbq more without spending all day cutting wood. Best thing I've bought myself in awhile. Only complaint is the WiFi needs to be reset every time I restart but I'll definitely take that over all the labor I used to do.

The design of the Woodwind is quite good. The temperature does a great job staying at/around your set point. And operation is straight forward enough that my neighbors are able come and use it without much instruction (don't worry, I invited them to). I had a small service issue a few months into use and the service team was able to work with me to resolve it quickly. For me, it isn't about if the product never has an issue - but when it does, how is it handled. Great work team.

Assembly was straight-forward. Toughest part was getting the temperature probe in place, but I like puzzles! Grill and controls are intuitive and work great. Sidekick ignitor will not work. Can't figure out how to fix that issue.
