Awesome Grill, perfect for a contemporary setting

This is a real beauty that will make you grill more and more. It gets crazy hot if you crank it up but also flexible to do anything from reverse searing or indirect cooking and smoking with some wood chips! Added the rotisserie for Thanksgiving turkeys...so juicy it is almost unreal.

Great Grill!

Absolutely the best grilling we have ever had. Meat comes out jucy and perfectly done. No flare ups as long as you keep it clean. We clean it about once every 6 or 7 uses. We have not found it that difficult to clean - about 10 to 15 minutes. Excellent customer service. They gave us a whole new hood when it overheated and paint chipped off. Tip: don't leave it on high with the cover closed! Now everyone else in the family wants one.

The black cast 670...love it!

I was initially introduced to the all stainless 670 back in the fall. I found out Saber was coming out with the black cast 670 with the improved cart design within a few months and waited for that model. It was worth the wait! I like the look of the grill and the quality is the same throughout all the models. I'm happy with my purchase but also happy with the support of Saber. I have had several conversations with the folks in customer service and they are first rate! It feels good to make a confident purchase in a great product.

Some very good elements and some that need fixing

I've owned this for about 2 years, had it on propane and now natural gas. The good: High temps, great searing and zero flare ups, the grates work very well overall. Build quality is good but there are some parts like the knobs that feel pretty cheap. The bad: the hardest grill to clean and maintain I've every owned. The grill has the worst system of disposing grease and debris I've ever seen. The sludge gets everywhere and very hard to get rid of. The grease tray is this huge shallow tray that is totally unwieldy, but not that much sludge actually gets too it because it gets trapped everywhere inside the grill. Expect 3-4 times more cleaning effort to keep it just somewhat nice. With other grills you can scrape everything down into the debris tray and drip pan, not with this guy it's a major effort to deal with the sludge, which gets very nasty over time. There's so many parts under the grates, the separators between the burners and then there's metal under that that prevents debris going to the tray. All the work on this painted metal makes me think I'm going to damage it and will start rusting, you have to use heavier products than you would like to clean and worry about damaging grill. The solution? Make the whole bottom cook box a 1 piece cast aluminum with holes in the bottom into a sloped debris tray with a grease trap, like other higher quality grills. This current system doesn't work well. I would just get rid of the burner dividers as they prevent indirect cooking more than they help with any heat zones. Would I by again? I'm mixed because it does cook so well, the best of any grill I've had. Cleaning the grates also is a pain and believe me the grill does not just vaporize all the grease and debris, just turns it into nasty sludge. You may get a better solution using after market grill grates on a more normal grill but it may not cook quite as well as the Saber. Saber redesign this part of the grill to have an absolute winner. Thanks, Bob
