Reviews for Napoleon Rogue SE 425 RSIB Natural Gas Grill with Infrared Rear & Side Burner - Stainless Steel

Easy starter grill

We gifted my dad with this grill and it's his first one. Features we love are how intuitive it is to use and how we can easily move the grill around the deck as needed. It's sturdy and does the job well. So far we've grilled meats, veggies, cakes and other desserts on it - no complaints at all!

Nearly Perfect

"I read a lot of reviews before purchasing the Napolean Rogue XT 625. For the price, this grill has everything I needed from a natural gas grill. Assembly was easy. You'll need a second pair of hands at times during assembly, but the printed instructions were fine. If I had any question about an assembly step, I just checked the many assembly videos that are available online. The JETFIRE ignition works great and the grill heats up fast! We don't have any cold spots or places that cook unevenly. The infrared side burner also works great. It heats up super quick and puts a nice sear on steaks. The fold down side shelves are convenient for storage. I also can't say enough positive things about their partner BBQ-Authority from whom I bought this grill. They answered all of our questions and since they were local, they arranged the delivery using their own personnel instead of us having to wait on a freight carrier. With all of the positives of this grill, I do not and will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. But, there are a few minor things I would change if I could. First, it seems strange that the back of the cabinet is open in the middle third. There are panels to cover across the bottom and top thirds, so why no panel for the middle third to make it completely enclosed? Second, even though I got the natural gas version, there is still a propane tank ring in the bottom of the cabinet that is open making it unusable for storage unless I figure out a way to cover it myself. Maybe you could figure out a cost effective way to not remove this section of the bottom of the cabinet for natural gas versions of this grill. Third, the warming rack is a little too big and a little too low. When it's in place, it makes using the back portion of the cooking area difficult because of how far it sticks out and how close it is to the grates. A slightly more narrow warming rack would work better in my opinion. As I said though, it's a great grill at this price point."

Works great with plenty of features

I've only used this grill for a week or so and it performs well. Some features I haven't used yet such as the infrared burners but those will be used in the future. The grill cover fits perfectly and I'm going to order a rotisserie soon. I chose natural gas since when I recently built my home I designed it with natural gas lines throughout and an exterior line for a natural gas grill. Propane tanks running out during cooking isn't fun and the only solution is to have a spare tank around or weighing the tank before the cooking begins. The grill was organized well in the packaging and was protected as best as could be. It took me a little over an hour to assemble (about half of the time was spent removing items from the packaging and disposing of the cardboard, plastic, zip ties, etc.). This is a relatively new grill so Youtube assembly videos don't match up exactly as this grill needs to be assembled.

Top Quality!!

I bought this a month ago and have grilled a ton since then. Nice, heavy unit. Easy to assemble and everything fit perfectly. Grill grates are heavy, heat shields are heavy, grill lid is solid and smooth. Lighting the grill is as easy as turning the knob. Side infrared burner is great for searing. Unit cleans up very easy with drip pan and stainless steel pan. Best money I've spent on a grill in a looooooong time.

Terrific little grill

"Bought this grill to use when travelling with my RV. It's well constructed and works well. Definitely gets hot enough for searing. No issues with overdone meat unless I mess up on the cooking. Grilled vegetables work fine. I also will put vegetables into a small, baking pan and do them that way. I have a small cast iron smoker box. Initially I put it directly on the burner on low but that was too hot. Now I put it on the grill grate with the burner on low and it works perfectly. Chips will last for 2 1/2 to 3 hours and just put a kiss of smoke into the meat, with a nice little smoke ring."

Easy to set up, makes grilling a breeze

"**NAPOLEON MAKES IT SUPER EASY TO SET UP BBQ WITH STEP BY STEP SET UP VIDEOS** My wife and I found that out the hard way. It took us about 2 hours to put together (Wouldn't have taken that long if we had watched the step by step instructional video provided for this grill). Fun team building activity though! That being said, I LOVE this grill! The storage space in the side panels is genius. Little hooks on the side of the panels provide extra space for BBQ tools. Compact with foldable panels. Can move it easily with the durable wheels. Temperature gauge SEARING RANGE is a perfect indicator for grilling laymen. Definitely recommending this grill!"

Sleek and compact

Bought this portable BBQ last fall but didnt set it up for use until early spring. Was looking for a convenient off-season BBQ for my balcony, and this was the perfect solution. Comes fully assembled and well packaged. Hook up the gas line and its ready to go. Plenty of heat for searing, roasting or slow cooking. Grills clean up nicely. Great to be able to BBQ on my protected balcony in early spring and late fall. May just end up using it all year long.

My review on the Napoleon Rogue BBQ.

"I recently purchased a brand new Napoleon Rogue BBQ, and I am blown away by this product, from the simplicity of the set up to how easy it is to use right off the hop. It has a great, sleek look and a feel of a high quality product. I've highly recommended this to my peers as an option for a new bbq if they are looking for a great product but not looking to break the bank."

Good portable grill

I bought this grill mostly for some steaks and grilled vegetables. I find it not hot enough for steaks if lid is open, but with closed lid steaks get over cooked. For vegetables with closed lid is perfect. Just now tried to smoke some ribs, but unfortunately min temperature on one burner, second is turned off, is 150C/290F. For smoking 110C is max.

Great heat

I enjoy yhe dial burnets with great hest. I don't enjoy the way my small footprint grill attached to the bsse with a couple of cheap plastic holders that swivel. Can't tell you how many times the top comes apart from the base as I move the bbq.

TravelQ pro285

"The travel Q pro is an easy to use, easy to clean, and lots of accessories but the only thing is the shape of the grill, it is S shaped and a little to large between the runs sometimes cooking smaller items the fall between the cracks. Another item is the settings low is not low enough especially for using the smoker accessory"
