The Weber Q 2400 also has aluminum heat retention liners to keep heat from escaping and to help spread the heat evenly across the grill surface. The Q 2400 Electric Grill is a great replacement in communities that do not all gas or charcoal grills. I was surprised at how quickly the grill heated at 40 degree out door temperature. The grill cooked evenly and clean up was easy. I purchased the Weber cart which is pricey but a very well made and handy. The grill is very light and portable.

My wife uses it extensively because it doesn't involve building a fire with charcoal. here in south Texas we can grill almost year 'round.

Living in a multi-family condominium, we were recently advised that the local fire chief and our condo insurer had banned the use of any and all propane gas grills and other devices. Having recently purchased a new Weber Gas Grill (3-burner) we decided to give that grill to my wife's niece and purchase a Weber Electric since that was allowed by Massachusetts Regulations. Needless to say, we had loved our Weber grills over the years and were not amused when told we were banned from using the gas grills. But after using our Weber Electric, we have found that that grill will be able to satisfy our grilling needs into the future. Hopefully this grill will last as long as our earlier gas grills. As time goes on, we've become more adept at grilling with an electric grill and follow the grilling guide from Weber on our smart phones.
